The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has said Egypt will be allowed to hold their 2014 World Cup playoff FIFA World rankingsecond-leg against the Black Stars of Ghana in Cairo at a secured hosting venue.

The World Football Governing Body said the decision was based on guarantee from the Egyptian government and the decision to allow Al Ahly to play a Champions League match in Cairo.

Ghana Football Federation has written to FIFA expressing their security concerns for the 19 November tie, opting for a switch of venue because of the political unrest in Cairo.

Ghana leads Egypt with an aggregate of 6-1 from the first leg in Kumasi on October 15. The second tie will now be played in the Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.
