Fenerbahce Chairman Warns the Club Will not Part Ways with Emenike

Sharing is caring!

Emmanuel-EmenikeFenerbahce chairman,  Aziz Yildirim, has warned European clubs to stay-off Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike and let him concentrate on his mission for the new football season with the club in Turkey.

The Nigerian player had been linked with Chelsea and was said to have been recommended to Jose Mourinho before the return of the club’s former player and Ivory Coast international, Didier Drogba.

Fenerbahce officials, however, are determined to keep the tough striker who failed to register a goal at the last FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Fenerbahce chairman confessed that they have not received any official offer for the Nigerian player and the Eagles star has not said he was going to any club for now.

‘Why the noise about Emenike’s  departure from the club. No club has come  to negotiate for his release and we are not ready to let him go”, Yildirim said.

Emenike had also been linked to Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur while Turkish newspapers reported that Chelsea are preparing a £16 million bid for the Fenerbahce star.

A bid from Chelsea is not possible now as the club has again acquired the services of Drogba and Mourinho has declared the transfer market closed for the English club.
