Fashola Commission’s Floating Jetty, Urges people to patronize water transportation
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), commissioned a Floating Jetty at Ijegun-Egbe, in Oriade LCDA, Lagos with a call on the communities to keep the
peace in order to enhance development.
Governor Fashola, while commissioning the project reminded the people that it was in fulfillment of his campaign promise to them. He pointed out that the water scheme was one of the priority projects of the Government to bring about development and create jobs for our people.
The Lagos State Governor said in embarking on such project, the State Government is conscious of the need to bring development to the rural communities in order to stem the tide of rural urban migration which, according to him, has created problems both locally and internationally.
The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale while fielding questions from Newsmen noted that Governor Fashola has once again proven that he is a visionary leader that has brought monumental development to Lagos State and by extension the Country at large.
