Extended Security Meeting Held, Nyako warned over utterances

Expanded Security Council Meeting held in Abuja and presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan has ended.
The meeting was attended by the president, heads of security agencies, state governors, President, Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor; and the head of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar.
Some of the attendees at the meeting include the governors of Anambra, Abia, Benue, Zamfara, Ebonyi, Delta, Kwara, Kaduna, Sokoto, Adamawa, Taraba, Ekiti, Kebbi, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Cross River, Ondo, and Edo states. The deputy governors of Plateau, Jigawa, Oyo, Borno, Yobe, Imo, Rivers, Kano, Ogun, Yobe, and Nasarawa were also in attendance.
Others include the Inspector General of Police, Marshal General of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration service, Minister of Police Affairs, Service Chiefs, National Security Adviser, Ministers of Defence, Interior, FCT, Foreign Affairs, Justice, and the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The worsening insecurity has led to the killing of scores of people in various states like Zamfara, Taraba, Borno, and others in the last one month. Over 200 female students of a secondary school were also kidnapped in Chibok, Borno last week.
Members at the meeting resolved that the military should be empowered in the search of the abducted girls in Borno State.
It was also agreed at the meeting that Fulani herdsmen should be domesticated henceforth.
Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako was warned against making divisive utterances.
