Exclusive! Why Yahaya Bello ‘Sacked’ Jonathan Zwingwina, Fani-Kayode From Campaign Organisation
Unknown to many the man who chaired the Hope ‘93 Campaign organization of the late MKO Abiola, Senator Jonathan Zwingina and Femi Fani- Kayode have been ‘sacked’ from the Presidential Campaign of Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Impeccable source told Newsnowonline that Zwingina was originally slated to be the Campaign Director General, while Femi Fani-Kayode was to be the director of media and publicity.
The duo have since been replaced by Hafsat Abiola-Costello and Yemi Kolapo as director general and director of media and publicity respectively. Zwingina and Fani-Kayode were sold a dummy when it became clear that a powerful interest in the All Progressives Congress was not disposed to the inclusion of these two controversial men.

Zwingina was named chairman of the campaign council while Fani-Kayode was appointed as his deputy.

He has also assured his supporters that Hafsat, the daughter of MKO Abiola was brought in to add more glamour to the campaign because of what she represents. Bello has assured his supporters that his becoming the next president in 2023 is a done deal.
According to the source, both Zwingina and Fani-Kayode have quietly walked away from Bello’s Campaign organization without making any fuss about it.
“Beyond being the daughter of MKO Abiola, Hafsat, according to the source lacks the political contacts and structure to operate with if the candidate Bello is serious with the presidential ambition. It’s a ruse, Bello is not serious”. Said the source who craves anonymity.
