Everton 3-3 Liverpool
Liverpool pulled Everton to a 3-3 draw at Goodison Park after Daniel Sturridge, who only played the last 11 minutes of the match saw Everton’s lead cancelled out with a header a minute from the end. It took only five minutes for Liverpool to show they meant business as a lazy flick from Coutinho gave them a lead.
Everton replied the goal 3 minutes later when Baines curled a free kick into the Liverpool box from the right and had the ball drop to Mirallas, who wasted no time in putting his name on the scoresheet.
Luis Suarez aced another one for Liverpool to become the EPL’s highest goalscorer, giving the Reds a 2-1 lead at half time. Luis Suarez was taken out for short while in the 34th minute after a wild, reckless tackle on the back of his knee earned Mirallas a yellow card.
The second half started and the match which had goals pouring in its first 20 minutes faced a drought till the 72nd minute. Lucas bundled Barkley away, giving Everton a free kick which Lukaku battered through the wall as the ball took a huge deflection left.
A Mignolet push got Mirallas the ball and he gave it back to Lukaku who sunk it into the net from ten just yards away. 11 minutes later, Lukaku put Everton in a 3-2 lead with a header from a corner kick. Sturridge replaced Lucas in the 79th minute and made a great impact as he helped Liverpool level the scoresheet in the 89th minute and take a point away.
