Epe Youth Form has lauded the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the 2026 budget , tagged “Budget of Shared Prosperity”.

The President of the Forum, Prince Adewale Adepoju expressed joy that the Education Allocation which is ₦249.13 bn is an improvement from previous year, though modest out of 4.237 Trillion Naira

He said “This would enhance primary/secondary education, improving school infrastructure, digital learning tools, and teacher training. Funding for model schools, STEM labs, and safe‑water/sanitation facilities in underserved areas will also receive a boost.”

On Youth & Skills Development, Adepoju said Vocational and Technical Training as well as Partnerships with private firms, expanded N-Power, IT and trades (welding, construction, fashion tech), as espoused by the Governor will deepen opportunities for the youth.

Adepoju added that the budget signals intent for more schools, skills, and youth jobs—but success hinges on execution, transparency, and complementary reforms (curriculum update, teacher incentives) hoping that the execution of the budget would be excellent.
