Enyeama Backs out of AFCON Qualifiers
Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, has withdrawn from the team’s 2015 African Nations Cup qualifying matches against Congo DR and South Africa on September 6 and September 10..
The Lille player said he was withdrawing for family reasons.
“I spoke to the coach and explained to him why I couldn’t make it,” Enyeama said. “I have some very pressing family issues to attend to at this time and it’s important for me to be there with my family at this time.”
Enyeama, had earlier said he was considering his international future after the World Cup this year, however says he will be available if he is needed in future.
