Ekiti primary school teachers embark on warning strike

Primary School Teachers across Ekiti State on Monday embarked on a two day warning strike to protest non payment of September 2014 salary by the government.

The protesting teachers were seen by our correspondent in various schools visited in Ado-Ekiti monitoring compliance of their colleagues and pupils who were asked to go back home.

In a chat with newsmen, the state chairman, Nigerian Union Teachers Mr. Kayode Akosile noted that the strike embarked upon became imperative to drive home the teachers demand.

He explained that all necessary avenue had been exhausted through dialogue and various letters without positive result.

The Labour leader promised the readiness of its members not to relent until government considered their plights.
