Ekiti 2014: Olukolade resigns as Minister to join Governorship Race

As the preparations for Ekiti State governoship election draws neae in 2014 indication shows that the Minister of Police Affairs, Caleb Olukolade, may resign from his ministerial job in the coming days.

Olukolade is expected to run under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). It is however unclear if Olukolade has received the nod of the President.

The Ekiti-born retired Navy Captain is said to be warming to exit President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet because of his ambition to run for the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The Minister will be contesting the PDP ticket with former Governor Ayo Fayose and an Afenifere chieftain, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye among few others.
