EFCC Recovers N.5bn from Ladoja
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has recovered over N500M naira from Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the former Governor of Oyo State. Ladoja, who is also the candidate of the Accord Party in the April 11 gubernatorial elections was made to refund the money which was stolen from the covers of the Government during his tenure as the Chief Executive of the State.
The money has since been handed over to the Oyo State government as well as two vehicles which were also recovered from him.
As shown in the documents and copies of the cheques issued by Ladoja, which were exclusively obtained by NigerianEcho, the former governor made the refunds between 2013 and 2014. The cheques which were revalidated this year were first deposited by Ladoja in 2011.
Sources told NigerianEcho that the former governor will soon be taken to court on other matters.
