EFCC apprehends Two lecturers, 28 others in Kwara over alleged internet fraud
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ilorin zonal office, Kwara state have apprehended two lecturers of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, and 28 others over their alleged involvement in offences bordering on internet fraud.
Head of Media and Publicity of EFCC, Dele Oyewale, gave the names of the lecturers as Adebisi Ademola and Abdulahi Opashola
The EFCC in a statement on Monday, revealed that the suspects were arrested at different locations within Kwara state following intelligence gathered by operatives of the commission. The 28 other suspects were named as Adeniyi Olamilekan, Kingsley Essien, Adeyemi Adedeji, Ademola Adebukola, Tobiloba Adenuga, Ajayi Teslim, Philp Mike, Tope Ayodele, Olawale Oladayo, Olasunkanmi Olawale, Kehinde Olanrewaju, Audu John, Saadu Muktar, David Momodu and Rasheed Mujeeb.
Others are Adeleke Damilola, Remilekun Adeolu, Oladimeji Timi, Yusuf Amoo, Abdulkareeem Samad, Adebiyi Sodiq, Oladimeji Timi and Oladipo Opeyemi.
The rest are Oladejo Hammed, DawoduOlusoji, Hammed Tope, Amaechi Umenyi, Salaudeen Adam and Afolabi Gafar.
It has also been gathered that efforts are being made to arrest a herbalist who is also linked to the offence.
Items retrieved from the suspects include cars, laptops, phones among others.
