Easter Season: Ogun CP puts men on red alert
The Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali, has put officers and men of the command on red alert in order to have itch-free forthcoming Easter festival through out Ogun State.
The Commissioner of Police took decisive actions on providing adequate security in the state and put his men on red alert at a general security meeting with his management team and Divisional Police officers on Monday at the POWA secretariat Eleweran Abeokuta.
The police boss warned area commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Heads of Departments to personally monitor activities before, during and after the season as adequate security must be provided at major worship centres, parks, amusement parks, joints and recreational centres to protect fun-seekers and major vulnerable facilities.
He warned officers and men of the command against inappropriate behaviors, extortion, incivility, excessive use of force and any act capable of denting the image of the Nigeria Police Force
In the bid to tackle crimes and social vices during the season, the Commissioner of Police ordered officers and men to also pay attention to expressways and water ways within the state so as to checkmate the criminal activities of men of the under world.
CP Abdulmajid Ali therefore appealed to the general public to cooperate with the police and other security agencies as a good number of security operatives will be deployed for effective policing of the state during the season and such operatives on duty deserve cooperation and respect from members of the public as policing is a collective responsibility.
