Drug Barons Behind Anambra Church Attack – Governor

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has identified the gunmen who attacked a church in his state as two persons from Ozubulu who are known drug barons in South Africa. are the prime suspects of the attack on St Philips Catholic church in Ozubulu.
According to the governor in a statement on Sunday, shortly after he visited the church, the duo are prime suspects of the heinous incident in Ekwusigo local government area of the state.
Obiano stated that the briefing he received from the police had revealed that the shooting was a reprisal attack by the drug barons who traced their victim to the church and dismissed the reports that the incident was a church invasion.
At the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi where those who were wounded are receiving treatment, the governor, while sympathising with the injured was worried that innocent people were attacked over a drug war concerning two abroad based Ozubulu brothers.
