Drone strike kills 14 suspected rebels in eastern Afghanistan

No fewer than 14 suspected rebels were killed when a U.S. drone targeted an alleged hideout in eastern Afghanistan, police said on Wednesday, reports NAN.

Provincial police spokesman, Hazrat Mashraqiwal said that the incident occurred in Lal-Pur district of Nangarhar province on Tuesday.
He said more than a dozen people were wounded in the strike, and two rebel safe houses of the rebels were destroyed.
Lal-Pur district bordering Pakistan has frequent rebel activity.
