Dolphins FC and Eyimba to Face Off in Federations Cup Finals
Federations Cup finalists, Dolphins FC and Enyimba, are to face each other for the Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Sunday.
Both clubs will also be in CAF competitions next year as Dolphins will represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation Cup, while Enyimba will feature in the Champions League as both teams finished the league as runners-up.
Dolphins FC- who have never lost a Federation cup final- have won the Federation Cup four times, in 2001 when they beat El Kanemi Warriors 2-0; 2004 with a 1-0 win over Rangers; Insurance 5-4 via penalties after playing 2-2 draw and the last victory was a 3-2 win over Rangers in 2007 after 1-1 draw.
Enyimba, the current champion of the Federations cup have won the competition thrice in 2005, 2009 and 2013.
