D’Banj releases ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ Soundtrack
Foremost Nigerian Musician, Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj has recorded the official soundtrack for the adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s Half of a Yellow Sun.
According to a representative of the music star, The song titled “Bother you” which was released online on Monday, will be included in the full soundtrack album.
“Bother You” is a love song inspired by the story of the movie, produced by Godfather Productions and DKM Media. The video was shot in South Africa and features footage taken from the movie. D’banj produced the soundtrack album alongside Yewande Sadiku and also worked with music icon, Onyeka Onwenu.
Half of a Yellow Sun was directed by Biyi Bandele and stars, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Onwenu, OC Ukeje, Hakeeem Kae-Kazim, Anika Noni Rose, Tina Mba, Gloria Young and Zack Orji.
