Davido, Beyonce, Pharrell Williams Dominate BET 2014 Awards

Pharrell Williams, Beyonce and August Alsina each captured two trophies at the 2014 BET Awards Sunday night, with Davido winning the award for the Best African act and Nicki Minaj winning her fifth consecutive award for best female hip hop artist.
The show was hosted by comedy actor, Chris Rock and honoured veteran singer, Lionel Richie with a lifetime achievement award.
Performers at the awards show included Williams who opened with “Come Get It Bae,” alongside Missy Elliott, Minaj, Tiwa Savage, Usher, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Iggy Azalea and T.I., and Chris Brown, who was recently released from jail for violating his parole and still facing assault charges in Washington, D.C.
