David Mark Congratulates Buhari, Commends President Jonathan for Sportsmanship
The Senate President, David Mark, has sent a congratulatory message to the President-elect Major-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), for his victory at Saturday’s presidential election.
Mark, who also won his senatorial bid on Saturday, released a statement on Wednesday via his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbodiyan, saying Buhari’s victory was the rish of the People and that it was well-deserved for his resilience as a politician.
He went on to urge Buhari to be magnanimous in victory by carrying all Nigerians, irrespective of their political divide and creed, along in his agenda for Nigeria.
He also praised the Incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan, for accepting the results of the poll and congratulating Buhari saying history would never forget the act.
He concluded by advising Nigerians to accept the results in good faith and continue to live in peace and harmony.
