CULTISM : Ogun Police Arrest 8 Secondary School Cult Members During Initiation
The Ogun State police command has again arrested some secondary school students suspected to be members of Black Scorpion Cult Group in Kara area, Sagamu, in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun state on Friday.
The suspects, who were arrested by police operatives attached to sagamu Division, with the help of members of Vigilante Services of Ogun state , were caught in the act of initiating one Ayoola Ahmed, 16, another student of their school, Remo Divisional High School Kara Sagamu, in a nearby bush around the area on Friday at about 1200hrs.
The suspects are SODIK SULEIMAN, 16,SEYI OKEBIYI, 15,OLAIDE SODIK, 15,DARE SODIYA, 16,OGUNFUWA SAMSON, 17,ADEGBA MICHAEL, 18,USMAN ADAMS, 17,AND ISA SULEIMAN, 18.
It will be recalled that the Ogun state command has vowed to get the state rid of criminals and cult members who terrorise and harass innocent people of Ogun state with all legitimate powers within its reach.
With the arrest of these young Nigerian youths, the Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali, has again reiterated his commitment to fight cultism to stand still, and kick against any crimes or social vices that can jeopardise the existing sound security networking in Ogun state.
CP Abdulmajid Ali has however directed that the young suspects be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Eleweran Abeokuta for further Investigation and prosecution as no stone will be left unturned in achieving effective policing of Ogun state.
