Cultism: 2 dead,10 injured in Anambra

A bloody clash between two rival cultists has resulted in death of two people while 10 others sustained injuries at Nkpor community, near Onitsha in Anambra.
Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Ogidi Divisional Police Headquarters, which cover the incident area, Supol Hassan Musa who confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with journalists explained that before the joint team of the Mobile policemen and the Police Anti-Cult Squad could reach the scene, along the Nkpor-Obosi Road, two unidentified people were already killed.
An official of the Department of State Services, DSS revealed that the clash was between the Akpa and Aiye fraternity.
Supol Musa, who explained that the bodies of the deceased were taken away by the affected cult members to avoid identification and possible trace by the police, added that the timely intervention of the police at the scene prevented the clash to escalated beyond what has happened.
He said further that, police has commenced investigation to identified the cultists and bring them to justice.
