The Special Assistant on Media and Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Ita, who made this known said, they have disowned a cloned Facebook account purported to be that of the governor.
According to him, the tricksters were through the site swindling unsuspecting members of the public of their money for job placements.
He said, “The said Facebook account is currently being used by swindlers to con unsuspecting members of the public of their money on non existence job.
Ita added that this was the handiwork of fraudsters and desperadoes who are taking advantage of the job opportunities being created by Governor Ayade and warned the general public to be wary of these criminal elements.
“Given the antecedent of the governor, he has been known over the years to provide succour to the needy and less privileged in the society through his various charity platforms.
“He is not one to ask anybody to part with money for favours. If he has not done this in his private capacity, he cannot now do that as a public officer”, he concluded.
