Cristiano Ronaldo named Best Player in The World
The Ballon D’or gala were held tonight in Zurich and the most impressive people in football in the year 2013 have been declared.
Portuguese Forward, Cristiano Ronaldo won the most coveted prize of the night, the FIFA Men’s World Player of the Year while Germany Goalkeeper,Nadine Angerer was named the winner of the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year.
The night started with the naming of the FIFA Pro World XI with Goalkeeper; Manuel Neuer and Defenders; Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos, Thiago Silva and Philip Lahm making the list. The list is completed by Midfielders; Franck Ribery, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta; and Forwards, Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Germany’s Silvia Neid won the FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men’s Football while Bayern Munich’s Former Coach Jupp Heynckes was named the winner of the FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men’s Football.
The FIFA Puskas Award went to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The FIFA Presidential Award went to the former President of the International Olympics Committee, Jacques Rogge; Brazillian Legend, Pele was presented with the first FIFA Ballon d’or Prix D’Honneur. The Afghanistan Football Federation got the FIFA Fair Play Award.
