American R&B singer Chris Brown has been prevented from leaving the Philippines after being caught up in a dispute over a canceled concert.

The 26-year-old said in a profanity-laced video posted to Instagram that he did not do anything wrong and does not know why he cannot leave.

“Can somebody please tell me what the (expletive) is going on? I don’t know. I’m reading headline after headline. What the (expletive)?” Brown said in the video, which was later removed.

The Philippine immigration bureau refused to allow Brown’s private jet to depart Wednesday, citing a fraud complaint related to a New Year’s Eve concert that was canceled at the last minute.

“The Bureau of Immigration placed international artist Chris Brown and his promoter, John Michael Pio Roda, in its immigration lookout bulletin, pursuant to an order by the Department of Justice,” said immigration bureau spokesperson Dana Mengote.

Brown will need to settle the dispute or prove there are no grounds for fraud charges before he is allowed to leave the country, she added.

Media reports said that Brown canceled the concert last December because he had lost his passport the day before.

Brown, who performed Tuesday night in Manila, was reported to still be holed up in a hotel in the capital as of Thursday evening local time.

In a separate video posted to Instagram, he could be seen breakdancing in front of a television while exclaiming, “Sir, I didn’t do nothing!”‎ (VOA)
