Casillas wants to Leave Real Madrid for Arsenal

Goalkeeper Iker Casillas wants to leave Real Madrid and join Arsenal even though his contract with the spanish club has not elapsed, according to reports in Spain.
The Real legend has fallen behind Diego Lopez at the Santiago Bernebeu over the past two seasons, with the 33-year-old showing in Cup and Champions League matches only. His disappointing performance in Spain’s humiliating 5-1 defeat at the World Cup to the Netherlands also didn’t help his case, and he was far from his best throughout the tournament.
Following Real’s capture of Costa Rica goalkeeper, Keylor Navas this week and Arsenal’s search for a new goalkeeper after letting Lukasz Fabianski leave, Casillas could be looking to serve as competition for the gunners’ current first choice, Wojciech Szczesny.
Though Arsene Wenger is known to be an admirer of Casillas, Colombian goalkeeper, David Ospina is thought to be close to a £3.2m move from Nice. This might deter any chance of the Spanish international’s move.
