CAN advises Politicians and Supporters against Violence
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has urged politicians to caution their supporters against violent acts during and after the forthcoming elections.
The chairman of the Lagos State chapter of CAN, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, said this while speaking about the 2015 edition of the Interdenominational Divine Service of CAN which is scheduled to take place at the Apostolic Church, LAWNA, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos.
He made it known that CAN’s message to politicians is to reject violence and embrace peace as the gubernatorial candidates in Lagos State had been invited to the programme on Saturday.
“We have formally invited all contestants individually to this year’s service, with the purpose of praying for them and encouraging them to embrace peace”, he said.
