The Confederation of African Football, CAF, is set to send officials to inspect the new Akwa Ibom International Stadium, which is a proposed venue for the Super Eagles’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in November.
The Federation had earlier refused to use the venue without inspection but the Nigerian Football Federation succeeded in convincing them of the quality of the facility.

The new stadium, which is reportedly a 30,000 capacity all-covered facility with a bullet-proof state box for 70 people is one of the most magnificent sporting structures in Africa, will be officially commissioned on Thursday, November 6.

The NFF will now go forward with plans for the match on Wednesday, November 19.
