CAF introduces New Competitions Management System
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday, December 20, 2013 launched its new Competitions Management System (CMS) in order to develop and facilitate the management of CAF competitions with the National Associations.
CAF CMS will manage all the competitions system in general and will combine: Competitions’ fixtures, designations, reports, players and National Associations data.
The new system was first introduced to the National Associations during a three-day workshop that started on December 20, 2013 and attended by representatives of each National Association at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The purpose of the workshop was to assist the representatives towards using the new system and become familiar with it. The participants also got the opportunity to register the players of the clubs engaged in the CAF Interclubs Competitions for the season 2014 and the players for the CHAN final tournament to be held from 11 January to 1 February 2014 in South Africa.
The system will be used to manage all CAF tournaments effective from 2014.
