Buhari Wants To Divert Gas Resources to Electricity Generation If Elected
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has promised to divert the nation’s gas resources to generation of electricity if elected.
Buhari said this on Thursday at the APC South-South campaign rally in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, saying: “We need high technology to separate our gas because ours is associated gas. When we do this, we will have enough gas to generate power and expand our economy.”
He also urged the electorates join in the fight against corruption by protecting their votes.
“If you work hard to stop corruption at the polling units by voting for the APC, I can say that you are not doing me good but you will be doing yourself good.
“Nigerians must rise up to fight and kill corruption before it kills us.”
In his speech, Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi also urged supporters of the party to express their desire for change by going out en-masse to vote in APC in the presidential and governorship elections on March 28 and April 11 respectively.
He also applauded the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to use card readers for the elections as a welcome development.
