Buhari to visit Imo state during ‘Thank You’ Tour
The Imo state government has announced that the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), is due to visit Owerri on Tuesday on a ‘thank you’ tour.
Governor Rochas Okorocha’s media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, released a statement on Tuesday in Owerri, making the plans known.
The statement read: “His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, the President-elect on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, will be visiting the state to thank the people and government of the state for their unalloyed support that contributed greatly to his resounding victory at the polls on March 28.”
While noting that God used Okorocha to make the state and the South-East geo-political zone to be part of the success story of General Buhari’s victory, Onwuemeodo assured the people that they would be carried along in the unfolding dispensation.
He continued: “In the new emerging order, everybody will be carried along and people will not be discriminated against on ground of their political leaning.”
