Buhari to consult with President Jonathan over Handover date
There are speculation that the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, may write President Goodluck Jonathan to seek some clarification on the proposed May 28 handover date.
According to reports, the move will be to avoid confusion and discord between the incoming and outgoing administrations.
The Minister of Information, Patricia Akwashiki, had on Wednesday, announced that the president intended to hand over at a dinner in Abuja on May 28 so that May 29 can be reserved for the incoming government.
The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, however said that the party was consulting on the issue.
