Buhari to Commence Presidential Campaign In Uyo
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is due to visit Akwa Ibom on Tuesday to kick off his campaign ahead of the presidential race.
The chairman of the Akwa Ibom state chapter of the party and the Secretary, Dr. Amadu Attai, announced this in a statement on Monday, saying the party would hold a presidential rally at the Uyo Township stadium in Uyo by 10am.
The party’s national chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, other chieftains and supporters of the party including Gov. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, who is also the Director General of the APC Presidential Council, are also set to attend the rally.
There will also be a presentation of the party flag to Umana Okon Umana who is the Party’s Governorship Candidate in Akwa Ibom State.
