Buhari Appoints Mrs Oyo-Ita Acting Head Of Service

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, FCA, as the Acting Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, with effect from today, Wednesday.
The approval was contained in a press statement issued Wednesday by Bolaji Adeyemi, Director of Press in the office of the Secretary to the Government of Federation.
According to the release, Mrs. Oyo-Ita, who until her appointment, was the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, hailed from Odukpani Local Government, Cross River State.
It stated inter alia: “The appointment is “a testimony of Mr. President’s implicit confidence and trust” in herability to discharge the responsibilities of the office of Head of the Civil Service of the Federation”.
