The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been urged to invite the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, his deputy, Hon. Lasun  and others named by a former chairman of the House committee  on appropriation,Hon
Jubril  if the present administration  is actually out to fight corruption by every legal means.
This call was made by the Campaign Against Impunity and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) in a statement signed by its Executive Director,Gbenga Soloki.
The group stated that the invitation of the four principal officers of the House of Representatives will further strengthen the fight against corruption being waged relentlessly by the Buhari regime,  stressing that anything contrary will send wrong signals out.
According to CAIDOV”HAVING listened and read the allegations by Hon. Jibrin against hon ‎Dogara and 3 others,we feel it is time that the anti corruption agencies, especially the EFCC invite those mentioned for questioning at this time. As disclosed by the president recently, that nobody will be exempted if there are enough evidence, so, we at CAIDOV expected the EFCC to have called them and commenced prosecution and if there are no tangible evidence against them, hon. Jubrin  should be prosecuted for false allegation.”
CAIDOV also warns the leadership of the All progressives Congress (APC) to desist from armtwisting hon. Jubrin as the invitation extended to him to appears hasty and an attempt to cow him.
“The leadership of the APC should not treat these allegations as internal or family affairs  of the party but rather allow the law to take its course by impressing it on those already indicted to defend the allegation.  Anything contrary will support the insinuation in some quarters that the present war against corruption is selective” the group concluded.
