Breaking News: DSS arrests ex-NSA Dasuki

Information available to us revealed that in continuation of probe into alleged arms procurement fraud against the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, he was this morning re-arrested by the operatives of the Department of State Security.

A security source told NigerianEcho, DSS operatives stormed the house of the embattled retired Colonel in the early hours of this morning and drove him to their office.

Yesterday, Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC arrested a former Minister of State for Finance, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda, and top officials in the office of the National Security Adviser over the controversial arms procurement scandal.

Yuguda was arrested as a result of billions of naira allegedly traced to his account.

He was said to have received the sum N775million from the the office of Accountant-General for an uncleared reason.

Yuguda was also alleged of conspiracy in payment of N1.2b by the former National Adviser on Security to a company for an undisclosed reason.

The transfers of the said fund, according to our sources were made to his account between December 2014 and May 2015.

Also arrested over the same issue is the director of Finance at the NSA office.
