Breaking News: Court Acquits Fani-Kayode of Money Laundering

Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court, Lagos on Wednesday July 1, 2015, acquitted former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, of money laundering charges.
Delivering her judgment, Ofili-Ajumogobia described the case brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as “feeble” and duly discharged Fani-Kayode in the absence of “copious evidence.”
She also averred that, the prosecution failed to prove that the former minister actually committed the offence and subsequently discharged and acquit the accused person.
