BREAKING: Customs Names 6 DCGs, 8 ACGs In Acting Capacity Amid Fresh Shake Up

As part of on-going re-organisation in the Nigeria Customs Service, the Comptroller-General, Col. Hameed Ali (retd) on Monday approved the appointment of six(6) acting Deputy Comptrollers-General.

According to the service public relations officer, Mr Wale Adeniyi, the Assistant Comptrollers-General will occupy the positions of Deputy Comptroller‎-General in acting capacity.

Those appointed as released by the customs are; ACG Idris Suleiman(Finance Administration and Technical Service); ACG Iya Umar(Tariff and Trade); ACG Dan Ugo(Enforcement Investigation and Inspection); ACG Grace Adeyemo(Exercise, FTZ and Industrial Incentive); ACG Austin Warikoru(Human Resource ‎Development) and ACG Paul Ukaigwe(Strategic Research and Policy). 

Adeniyi also stated that, eight Comptrollers would occupy the positions of Assistant Comptrollers-General created in the exercise in‎ acting capacity. 

They are; Comptroller Umar Sanusi mni as ACG Headquarters; Comptroller Funsho Adegoke as ACG ICT; Comptroller Mohammed Abbas mni as ACG Board; Comptroller Olatunji Aremu mni as Command and Staff College; Comptroller Charles Edike as Zonal Coordinator Zone A; Comptroller Abubakar Dangaladima as Zonal Coordinator Zone B; Comptroller Azarema Abdukadir as Zonal Coordinator Zone C; and Comptroller Chidi Augustine as Zonal Coordinator Zone D.

 It was also stated that seven officers have been equally re-deployed. 

The affected officers are, ACG Adesina Odunmbaku(Finance and Technical Service); ACG Ade Dosumu(Enforcement and Drugs); ACG Robert Alu(Tarrif and Trade); ACG Monday Abueh mni(Excise and Industrial Incentive); ACG Ahmed Mohammed mni(Human Resources Management); ACG Patience Iferi(Strategic Research and Policy) and ComptrollerAminu Abba(Technical Services).

Col. Ali according to Adeniyi urged the newly appointed officers to re-double their efforts to justify their new responsibilities.
