Brazil 2014: Super Eagles boycott training

Nigeria Super Eagles who have just qualified  for the last 16 round of the World Cup boycotted training in their Campinas base in Brazil.

Their grouse with the Nigeria Football Federation was that the Federation reneged on their promise of playing the appearance fee after the intervention of the Senate President in the initial brouhaha.

NigerianEcho source in the camp who would not want his name mentioned said the players protest was spearheaded by Mikel, Yobo, Eayeama and Osaze.

The media coordinator of the team, Ben Alaiya, expressed the situation in camp, that both sides are in talk at the time of writing this report.

The concern of the players are that they may be denied their appearance fee as soon as Super Eagles is out of the competition.

Super Eagles will play France on Monday in Brazil capital city Brasilia.
