Brazil 2014: Messi Leads Argentina to A 2-1 Win over Bosnia

Argentina went ahead to top Group F on sunday, after a 2-1 win over Bosnia and Herzrgovina.
Just three minutes into the game, an own goal from Sead Kolasinac gave argentina the lead, but they struggled to carve out further chances in an uninspiring first half. Captain, LionelMessi’s free-kick from the left bounced off the Schalke defender’s Kolasinac’s shin and into the net.
Messi doubled Argentina’s lead in the 65th minute after gliding past a couple of defenders before finishing exquisitely.
World Cup debutants, Bosnia kept fighting and Vedad Ibisevic reduced their arrears with six minutes remaining to set up a tense finale, but Argentina held on to take control of Group F.
The Bosnians are playing in their first major tournament as an independent nation.
Group F matches continue on Monday, as Nigeria plays Iran at 8pm Nigerian time. Group G’s highly anticipated game that sees Germany and Portugal face off, will start at 5pm Nigerian time, while Ghana take on USA at 11pm Nigerian time.
