Bombings In Kaduna Churches: Angry Christian Youth Launch Reprisal Attack Against Muslims As Government Slams 24-hour Curfew
Following the bomb blasts that rocked three churches in kaduna and Zaria where ECWA goodnews Church, Wusasa zaria, Christ the king catholic cathedral Sabongari and Sharon pentecostal church Kaduna were affected, Christians have begun a reprisal attacks on muslims in Southern part of the city.
Irate Christian youth launched reprisal attack against Muslims burning buildings and maiming as well as killing people identified as muslims. According to an eye witness account, the irate youth came in their hundreds armed with dangerous weapons while finishing out persons suspected to be muslims. The attack didn’t spare women and children as the youth went on rampage.
Kaduna State Government has however slammed a 24-hour curfew on the State just as the Police assured that calm would soon return to the troubled State. According to the Spokesman of the Nigerian Police Force, Kaduna State command , Aminu Lawan, he said his men have moved to the site of the explosion while other teams of the force have moved to restore peace in the southern part of Kaduna where attack against the Muslims have been reported.
