Bomb attack in Eastern Iraq, 8 feared dead, 40 injured
At least 18 people have been killed and more than 40 injured in bomb attack in Baquba in eastern Iraq.
A vehicle bomb exploded in a marketplace, security and medical sources told newsmen.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Six members of the security forces have been killed in a series of attacks in Turkey amid rising tension between the government and Kurdish militants.
Last year, the city was the scene of fierce fighting between so-called Islamic State (is) militants and Pro-Government militias.
Government forces managed to push them back from the city which is just 60km (37 miles) from the capital, Baghdad.
