Boko Haram kills 12 in Fresh Attack
The Boko Haram terrorist sect has killed 12 civilians near Gwoza in Borno State as efforts by the Nigerian Army to evacuate civilians from the area was going on.
According to reports, a witness of the attack, who said the militants struck after the soldiers had moved one set of people from the hills around Gwoza, where they had been hiding from the terror attacks.
“Before the soldiers could go back for the remaining people, some Boko Haram members attacked them and slit the throats of 12 people,” the witness said.
Gwoza was recently recaptured from the sect by the coalition of troops from Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon, but pockets of violence are still reported in some areas in the northeast.
