Boko Haram: FG is committed to rebuilding, resettling of IDPs – Osinbajo

Nigerian Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on. Wednesday said, Federal Government is committed to rebuilding and resettling the Internal Displaced Persons, IDPs.Prof. Osinbajo stated this during his one day working visit to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
According to him, he visited Maiduguri on a fact finding mission on the insistence of President Muhammad Buhari and also to have a first hand assessment of the living condition of the IDPs.
At the Dalori Camp, where he met the displaced people, VP told them government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the quick end to insurgency and their early return to their various communities.
The VP also visited University of Maiduguri, where he met a number of bomb victims who were receiving treatment.
Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, expressed delight with the show of concern by the Federal Government toward IDPs in the State.
Vice President Osinbajo was accompanied on the visit by the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mohammed Sani Sidi.
