Bauchi State Police Command has advised residents of the state to be on the alert following Sunday’s twin blast in the neighbouring Plateau State.

This advice was contained in a statement issued by Police command PRO, DSP Haruna Mohammed.

The statement said that it has become imperative for the command to advise the people of the state to be at alert and be more security conscious as a result of ongoing onslaught by the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents.

It reads: “Against the backdrop of prevailing security challenges, the Bauchi State Police Command urges members of the general public to be security conscious of their physical and social environment.

“They should pay special attention to persons and objects, particularly at motor parks, shopping malls, markets, schools and places of worships etc.

“They should also report suspicious persons or objects within their neighborhood, especially on motorcycles and tricycles, to the nearest Police station, or through the emergency numbers 08151849417, for prompt response”.
