Boko Haram: 5 policemen, others killed in Borno car bomb

Suspected Boko Haram members in Volkswagen Golf car today rammed into a patrol vehicle of the Police in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, killing five policemen, three civilians and injuring others.
The bombers also lost their lives in the blast that happened near Dalori Housing Estate in the town.
Military sources informed that immediately after the blast, soldiers from 7 Division, Nigerian Army, a combined team of mobile policemen and vigilante youths a.k.a Civilian JTF mobilized to the scene of the blasts and cordoned off the area to prevent further attacks.
Borno State Police command spokesman, DSP Gideon Jubrin confirmed the death of five policemen attached to the federal highway patrol team.
