Kogi State Labour Party Governorship candidate felicitates with Nigerians on 55th Independence anniversary,assures of a better Kogi State.

I felicitate with Nigerians particularly the good people of Kogi State on the historic celebration of the 55th years of our nationhood  as a country in Nigeria. The attainment of independence was a significant milestone in the dreams of our founding fathers and this brought joy and hope to the hearts of our people when we eventually won independence for our great country 55 years ago. In all these, the strategic importance of our dear state, Kogi can not be overemphasized considering the history of our state in the birth and administration of Nigeria over the past decades.

It is therefore important to note that today is not just a celebration of our freedom neither from colonial masters nor just about the destiny of a nation, but the future of our people.

As we celebrate this Independence Anniversary, we must remember as always, the contributions of our founding fathers to the making of the Nigerian nation, while also celebrating the unfailing optimism and resilience of Nigerians who remain proud of our national identitydespite all our national challenges today.

And to my dear good people of Kogi State, this moment is an opportunity for me to express my unshaken belief in the future of our dear State. I consider it important to continually assure you that we owe it as a sacred duty to continue to strengthen the bond of unity that holds our State together while working together to ensure that we improve the living condition of our people. This is the main objective of my aspiration to offer myself for leadership as we approach the critical moment of electing another leader to steer the ship of our dear state for the next years.

For all the years I have had in private and public positions, I have strived to continually work with our people, men and women, young and old to enhance our quest for growth and development as a people in Kogi State.

Am therefore determined to continually work hard that we may be able to make progress on all fronts and make our state, a place to be proud of again.

The past few years have been more of uncertainty and despair for our people due to the failure of leadership. What Kogi requires now is a leadership that can galvanize the people and bring on board, good number of reforms and initiatives to be pursued in key sectors of our daily life with a view to reawakening hope and consolidating the gains of the selfless effort of our people to make life more truly meaningful.

We will embark on several programmes and projects for creating wealth and job opportunities for our youth and teeming population.

We must collectively work together for a sustainable effort that will strengthen the institutions that are statutorily entrusted with the task of making life meaningful, while we develop our State.

To achieve all these noble objectives of building the state of our dream, we will seek the full cooperation of all citizen of Kogi both at home and in diaspora, stakeholders in the private and public sectors, especially our youth and the civil society.

I urge our people and Nigerians at large not to be discouraged by the challenges that we are currently faced with.

We must continue to work together, confidently and faithfully, to ensure that our potentials as a people are realised to the fullest; that our dreams are translated into reality; and that our goals are achieved.

I have no doubt that by this time next year, many of our dreams for Kogi would have been in the process of coming into realization with the hope of yielding better results.

I am confident that together, we will make Kogi State a source of pride to its citizens and Nigerians at large.

God bless Kogi State
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Happy Independence Day.
