Bauchi state Government works with Governor-Elect towards Smooth Transition

The Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, and the governor-elect, Mohammed Abubakar, have reportedly been holding closed door meetings at the Ramat House in Bauchi, the state capital.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mahmud Maijama’a, who was present at the meeting, said it was to make arrangements for an smooth and hitch-free transition.

He said: ”At the end of the meeting it was resolved that the transition committee to be set up by the Governor-elect will work hand in hand with a similar committee already set-up by the outgoing government, with a view to providing comprehensive information about the status of activities of all Ministries, Department and Parastatals of government.”

Other members of the meeting include Deputy Governor-elect, Engineer Nuhu Gidado; Chief of Staff Government House Tanko Y. Dutse; Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Adamu Alkali and the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Uba Nana.
