Barclays Premier League: Burnley 1-3 Chelsea
It was an impressive start of the season for Chelsea as they demolished newly-promoted Burnley.
Although the home side took the lead in the 13th minute through a stunning strike from Scott Arfield, Mourinho’s men nailed their status as the team to beat this season as Costa, Schurrle and Ivanovic secured a comeback win for the Blues.
Former Arsenal and Barca star, Cesc Fabregas proved his wotrth as a playmaker with amazing passing skills as he dictated Chelsea’s play through the game.
Diego Costa scored on his debut and provided the physical presence up front that Chelsea missed last season while Schurrle scored the goal of the night with a total of 25 passes leading to his fine finish.
The match also saw Thiabut Courtiois at the post ahead of Petr Cech, bringing to an end his decade as Chelsea’s undisputed Number one goalkeeper.
Chelsea are now at the summit of the Premier league table, with Manchester City following in second place whike Arsenal and Liverpool are third and fourth respectively.
