Bank manager commits suicide

A commercial bank manager who was declared missing have been found hanging in an uncompleted building.
The deceased, Habeeb Olatunde was declared missing by the police through a report lodged by his family on June, 18, 2014 but on July 5, according to the police was found hanging inside an uncompleted building in Arepo.
According to Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, after police had declared the deceased missing, the detectives intensified their efforts at finding the banker and eventually his body was discovered hanging somewhere with the help of members of the community.
“The police detectives attached to Ibafo Divisional Headquarters led by the Divisional Police Officer Salawu Jimoh have discovered the body of one Mr Habeeb Olatunde,m,44, native of Kwara State, the Manager of a Commercial bank, who was declared missing since 18th June 2014, in an uncompleted building at Arepo, near Ibafo, at about 1500hrs on Saturday 5th July.
“The decomposing body was found hanged in the building when the police detectives arrived at the scene.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the top bank official committed suicide by hanging,” he stated and added that police investigations revealed the deceased actually complained of stress in the office and was permitted to get rest.
PPRO further revealed that the deceased might have committed suicide while he was away from work on casual leave.
His corpse has been released to the family for burial according to Islamic rite.
