If the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) engages in impunity and imposition of candidates for the 2019 general elections, it would suffer a worse defeat than it did in the 2015 polls.

According to a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, PDP @ Your Door Campaign Forum, Chieftain of the party, Alhaji Hussain Mohammed Jallo handed out the warning, when some national and Kaduna State executives paid him a visit at his residence in Rigachikun, Kaduna on Saturday.

He said even though the PDP has bright chances of beating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the states and national level, such chances would be lost if imposition of candidates was noticed by party faithful.

Jallo who was Special Adviser on Politics to immediate past Vice President Namadi Sambo, charged PDP executives at the state and national levels to be transparent in all their dealings.

He therefore appealed to members of the the party at all levels to unite and ensure it takes its rightful place as Africa’s largest political party.

Jallo who was also a three-time chairman of Igabi LG, two-term commissioner in Kaduna State and former PTDF Secretary, praised PDP @ Your Door Campaign for it’s achievements so far, while urging to group to keep up its good works.

Earlier in his remarks, National Coordinator of PDP. @ Your Door Campaign Forum, Comrade Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani told their host that they visited to solicit his support in ensuring they realized their main objectives.

He said the forum has so far been able to have structures down to the ward levels in 15 states, while other States have executives yet to trickle down to the wards, but are still been structured.

Danfulani emphasized that their number one priority was to see that the PDP regains control of Aso Rock and at least 22 states in 2019.
